             2010 NCHIMA President’s Letter


 

                                                                     
                                                                      

        Welcome to a New Year and new opportunities!  I am delighted to invite you to explore what NCHIMA has to offer! Check out our website (www.nchimaonline.org) and various learning opportunities throughout 2010.
Our mission is the commitment to excellence in the management of health information.2009 was lead by Bev miller and I would like to take a moment to thank her and the 2009 Board and Committee members for all their time and work.  Volunteering is the practice of people working on behalf of others…without payment. So we want to express the gratitude so much deserved.  With that, we congratulate the 2010 Board and Committee members!  All members are listed on the last page.
It is that time to sign up as a member in order to receive communication on all upcoming meetings and receive the member price for meetings.  Our Annual Dues are the same price as last year! 
NCHIMA desires to continue to offer a variety of opportunities for professional development, networking, and education with value for your dollar in mind. Our conferences are avenues to learn from experts in the field, hone skills, and explore future trends in the HIM world.  And there is a lot happening in all those areas.  Conference dates will be set for a spring, summer, and a fall meeting. 
NCHIMA supports student learners by providing Arapahoe Community College RHIT graduates and Regis RHIA graduates scholarship money on an annual basis.  So being a member is a way to easily give back to the HIM community!  Leaders: Encourage students to participate, membership is free for those enrolled in an AHIMA accredited program.
The 2010 Application and Dues can be sent in to Hiram Wolgemuth.  Please use the enclosed or attached Membership application.  Complete the information and send monies to the address listed.  Thank you Hiram!
